The picture shows the americain making steam LOCOMOBILE of 1898, which was the first car of the « Club Age d'Or Véhicules Anciens ». This club was founded in 1971 by Roger Niorthe and is made up about of a hundred of enthusiasts owning some 350 vehicules. Every year, about a twenty members form a steering commitee reporting to the club management as well as organisation of events which become a historical moment in the Pau's life. These events are the theater of meetings between old and young enthusiasts, and where well preserved vehicles are also in very good condition of working.. The aim of the club is to restore vehicles which are no produced any longer or have disapperead, So, it is to maintain and to preserve an heritage which is conjugable with the " journée nationale du patrimoine " every year. The club is member of the FFVE Those who could think that they are not only the car that are of collection although the white hairs are numerous, we observe a rejuvenation as well an increasing feminine representation. |
